Junior Syndicate Matariki Celebration

On the last Wednesday of Term Two, the Junior Syndicate came together in the afternoon to celebrate Matariki. Room 4 shared the books they had written and illustrated about Tane and the stars and The Seven Stars. Mrs Wilkinson shared a picture book about Matariki. Everyone had brought a mat they had woven and this was used to hold a delicious piece of roast kumara. We enjoyed sharing our stories and having kai together.
