Cinquain Poems

During Week 9 we have been learning to write cinquains.
A cinquain is a short five line poem written with 2, 4, 6, 8, and 2 syllables on each line respectively.
Here are some examples from clever Room 4 writers.

Big Ben.

Big Ben,
big clock tower
and dark skies, tall building.
Yellow, brown stone structure building,
Big Ben.

By Harrison.

Golden Bay.

Golden,
sand shining light,
waves splashing high, blue sea.
Golden Bay, high by the mountains,
the beach.

 By Lara

Yummy Pie!

Yum! Pie!
Blueberry pie,
Sweet potato topped pie,
Sweet boysenberries and hot pie,
Sweet pie!

By George.
