Technology Challenges

The winning Plagpole builders. Measureing 1.48 meters!
Great communication and working together made a successful team above. Another tilting flagpole however. Next time they said they would make their base bigger.

Some great ideas from this group had them all working hard to produce a tall flagpole. They needed a stronger base however, as it could not stand unaided. Well done for the great team work guys.

The year three team consisting of Jack O, Sarah, Brendon, Jacob and Thomas constructed the second highest flagpole. They included everyone in their activity and worked well as a team.

The challenge above was to create a Flagpole using newspaper, string and sellotape. It had to be free standing. Ashton, Jack A, Jordan and laura demonstrated great team work to create this masterpiece. Unfortunately it was unable to stand up without support.

This challenge was to make a pair of jandals out of string, newspaper and sellotape. The model had to be able to wear them to walk up and down the court once. In this photo Jordan, Jack ,Laura and Ashton examine the remains of their group's jandals. They lost one strap but the other one held up well.

See the plaited string on these beauties!

Busy at work this group decided to plait their string as a strap. Their design worked really well. During the trial the jandal stayed together but they lost points for continuing to work on their jandals after the time was up. Great cooperative work skills in this group.
